Florida Learning Hub exists to preserve and teach Florida history through accurate, engaging, story-driven educational content.
We believe Florida deserves to be understood as more than beaches, theme parks, and headlines. Our purpose is to preserve the stories, landscapes, cultures, and people that shaped Florida across thousands of years, and to make those stories accessible to every classroom, every family, and every lifelong learner — through careful research, thoughtful storytelling, and historically responsible publishing.
A Gateway, Not the Whole Library
FloridaLearningHub.org is the public gateway to a larger educational publishing project. The articles published here are intentionally presented as introductory educational overviews — written to introduce a reader to a topic, spark curiosity, and point the way toward deeper study.
Complete pillar articles, expanded educational editions, printable classroom resources, original maps, custom illustrations, discussion materials, assessments, and teacher resources go well beyond what the free website can hold. Those materials are developed and made available through official Florida Learning Hub publications and the Florida Learning Hub Teachers Pay Teachers store.

Whenever practical, we distinguish documented historical fact from fictional narrative and from family history or oral tradition, so readers, parents, and educators can tell the two apart.
