Corrections Policy

Better evidence should make the historical record stronger

Florida Learning Hub welcomes specific, evidence-based correction information. Historical records can be incomplete, difficult to read, newly digitized, or inconsistent with later accounts. Responsible revision is part of serious historical work.

What to Include

For the clearest review, identify:

• The article title and page address.
• The exact sentence, date, name, image credit, or claim in question.
• The proposed correction.
• A citation or link to the supporting record.
• Any relevant page, image, collection, file, or record number.

How Corrections Are Reviewed

FLH compares the submission with the cited evidence and other reliable sources. A clear factual error may be corrected directly. A disputed interpretation may be clarified, qualified, or retained with additional context. Unsupported requests are not treated as established corrections.

What May Change

Corrections may address factual claims, names, dates, quotations, transcriptions, citations, links, image attribution, or wording that gives a misleading impression. Minor spelling and formatting repairs may be made without a formal notice. Material changes may be identified on the article when they substantially affect its meaning.

Submitting Information

Florida Learning Hub does not publish a general public email address. If FLH designates a correction channel in the future, it will be identified on this page. The review standards above remain the basis for evaluating any correction information FLH receives.
